Gary Pundt-Owner

Gary grew up in San Antonio graduating from Winston Churchill High School in 1983. He then attended Texas State Technical Institute and graduated at the top of his class recieving a degree in Automotive Technology. He has worked in the automotive service industry since the age of 16. He is an ASE Certified Master Techician with an L1 designation in Computer Diagnostics and Drivability. Gary has also served on various boards in the automotive industry since the late 1980's.  He is a current member of the Texas State Technical Institute Advisory board and serving his second term as the state president of the Texas Independant Automotive Association.(T.I.A.A.).  He is also currently serving as a member of the board of directors at CrossPoint Fellowship Church in Schertz. 

 

 
 

Darla Pundt-Owner

Darla also grew up in San Antonio graduating from Highlands High School in 1986. She then attended The University of Texas at San Antonio receiving a Bachelors degree in Accounting and graduating Magna Cum Laude.  She then became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She worked in the Financial Reporting department at USAA for approximately 5 years.  In 1997 she and Gary decided to purchase the business from Gary's mom, Lee, and focus their efforts on running  the family business and raising their family.  She also has held various offices with the  Texas Independant Automotive Association (T.I.A.A.).  She has been involved for many years with the TIAA annual picnic that raises money for the John Pundt Memorial Scholarship Fund.  This scholarship fund was set up in honor of John Pundt, founder of Alamo Heights Garage,  because of his strong belief in the importance of continuing education and training in addition to his dedication to the industry.  Darla also serves in a volunteer position as Chief Financial Officer at CrossPoint Fellowship Church in Schertz.  She is a proud mother of her and Gary's three boys, Chris, John and Matthew.  She is the financial counter balance to Gary's extensive knowledge of automotive technology and the automotive industry. 

 

Ann Sarnovsky-Service Advisor

Ann grew up in San Antonio and graduated from Roosevelt High School.  After attending college, she became the bookkeeper for the Belmeade Chevron Service Station.  During her time there, she became interested in the service and repair portion of the business and became the Service Manager.  She held that position for 25 years until the owner of the business retired and sold the business.  Ann is an ASE certified Service Consultant and a Texas State Automobile Inspector.  Her years as an "army brat" prepared her well to adapt the many changes within the automotive industry.  She likes a challenge and has quickly become an asset to Alamo Heights Garage.  In addition to serving as service advisor she is currently working on her Bachelors degree in Accounting.  

 
Chris Graf-Shop Foreman

Chris, originaly is from New Jersey and has been in the repair industry from a young age.He got his start by working on motorcycles, and small engines. Chris has over 25 years of experiance working on automobiles and is ASE certified, and has numerous awards and certifications of continuing education. Chris is in charge of production and oversees all aspects of the repair process. Chris is also a very cook and makes a great Italian meatball dish.
